2011 is here and I’m still in Vegas! Vegas never fails to provide me with endless design inspiration and ideas. I’ve never been a gambler and my boyfriend Nick can play poker for hours, which gives me plenty of time to walk around and enjoy the architecture, sights and scenery. I didn’t take too many pictures this trip, but I thought I’d share with you a few shots of our weekend.
My absolute favorite design feature from our weekend in Las Vegas was this stunning 3 story Chandelier lounge at the newest Vegas resort, The Cosmopolitan. Gorgeous, right? The whole lounge is dripping with strands of crystals.
Every girl’s dream!
While walking around The Cosmopolitan, I saw Gwyneth Paltrow shooting a movie at the Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill. I also saw a couple of other celebrities this weekend in Vegas. I saw Adrienne Maloof from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when we were at the Playboy Club at the Palms.
While Nick was playing poker, I saw Vince Vaughn playing poker in the high roller room. He’s huge! He looks much larger in person. The next night, while I was getting ready, Nick saw A-Rod and Cameron Diaz in the high roller room. Vegas draws a lot of celebrities for NYE!
A pet peeve of mine is Christmas decor up after the holiday, but I was thankful that Aria still had theirs on display. Aria really thinks outside the box when it comes to design and they didn’t fall short when it came to their Christmas decorations this year.
Oversized metallic ornaments were strewn about the lobbies, casino and walkways. Metallics were huge this weekend; people, as well as the casinos, were sporting sequins and sparkles in honor of the NYE festivities.
I loved walking around the Crystals, which is host to some of the most high-end designer brands such as Louis Vitton, Prada, Tiffany and Gucci. It’s not as if I could actually indulge in any of the goods within these stores, but it is really fun to window shop!
I hope you all had a fun New Year’s! What did you end up doing? Now, it’s time to get back to reality. I’m excited to start new projects and designing more homes. 2011 is going to be great, I can feel it!
Another reason some people prefer Sildenafil, compared to Levitra or our website Woah! Im really enjoying the click over here of this blog But in this model as well, Im up like this content viagra!
I'm like you: once the New Year arrives the decs should come down!
Enjoy Vegas!
