Hi all! Iām Susi and I write as a guest blogger for DesignShuffle.com, a fabulous social media site that promotes interior designers from around the world and their work. My writing focuses on things I’m passionate about: interior design, decorating ideas, home furnishings, gardening, travel and art. I get to look at gorgeous things all day and write about them. I’m a very lucky girl!
I loved Jami’s recent post about ābig hat weekends.ā I adore a giant straw hat for the beach. When I was asked for an article about seashore inspired decors, I decided to look for rooms that capture a regional shore feeling. The East Coast seashore is very different than California coast; traditional versus relaxed, classic versus bohemian. So keeping the two coasts in mind, I found 8 rooms that take inspiration from the seashore. Hope you enjoy them. Thanks for letting me and Design Shuffle visit!

Seashore colors, like this aqua blue, paired with tons of white can infuse a room with a beach feeling. A few choice accessories, like shells or coral, complete the look.

These sleeping nooks (cubbies?) remind me of summer at the beach from another era. Love the colors and curtains for privacy.

Not all seashore inspired interiors (or exteriors) have to be blue, green and white. This warm hued dining space has a relaxed seashore feeling.

WEll, I certainly loved this post as I'm in the Caribbean spending the summer. I love the details I can use in my own home even though its not on the beach.
