When I was a little girl, I dreamed of having a canopy bed, complete with all the frills and pink lace an 8 year old could ask for. My mom, being the creative woman she is, constructed a make-shift canopy made from an old set of sheets for above my bed. I loved it!
Today I’m loving this image above; a contemporary and modern take on the traditional canopy bed. The canopy is creating a space within a space and therefore making the bed an ultimate sanctuary and getaway. I also always wanted a canopy bed when I was a litle girl, but I never got one! Boo! This one is gorgeous in a grown up way! Thanks for sharing!!
This is funny because, when I was little I had a canopy bed. Now that I think of it, it was so pretty. The designer in me at age 10 decided that I no longer wanted this bed. I took it apart, myself yes. Put it outside on the patio and put my matresses on the floor. WEllllahh, a grown up bed. LOL. wtf was I thinking. I still don't understand how I did all that…my mom must have been mad.

Thanks for your visit! Yes, canopy beds give such a sense of being in a cocoon, and 4-poster beds are always a selling-point for me for hotels. This is a lovely simple one!
Love that canopy! When I was about that age I had a pink canopy with lace and everything.
It kind of gives me nightmares now.
