“Change is inevitable―except from a vending machine.” |

As some of you may know, I recently started a new position with a design firm in Pasadena. (And I’m loving it!) For the first couple of weeks, it hadn’t dawned on me how much money I could be saving if I were to bring my own lunch vs. shelling out $5-$10 on a couple of tacos from across the street. I found this helpful little article last week and I think it is about time that I start packing my own lunch.
A Healthy Take on Saving Lunch Money!
Cutting costs wherever possible is on everyone’s to-do list. Lunch money is an obvious place to start saving. It’s also an opportunity to make something more healthy and fresh tasting for less!
Did you know that the average American worker spends $6.60 per day buying lunch? That can really add up!
It makes sense to bring lunch to work when you can save as much as three dollars a day!
Eat In and Eat Healthier!
Sometimes restaurants and take-out lunches have us eating foods that are less healthy than we would like. Bringing your lunch puts you in charge! Eating something healthier that is deliciously satisfying, fresh tasting and affordable can be easy.
A quick trip to your grocery’s pasta or soup aisle will pay off. Healthy Choice has new Fresh Mixers that can be stored right in your desk and can be freshly made in just 5 minutes! I’ve also a become a big fan of bringing last night’s leftovers in to work. I know exactly what ingredients are in the dish and I’m saving money by not tossing out the leftovers!
