Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending the day at the old Helms Bakery also known as HD Buttercup in Culver City, California. It is a furniture heaven and designer’s delight on this special little block just off the 10 freeway as you’re heading to Santa Monica. Besides vendors like Lillian August, Cisco Home and Thom Filicia which reside inside HD Buttercup, you’ll find stores such as The Rug Warehouse, Thos Moser and the Stark outlet at the Helms Bakery District. Room & Board, is where I was drawn to these twiggy characters at not only because they are crafted in my home state of Minnesota, but their simple lines and environmental friendliness had me at hell-oooo!
