DESIGN TIP: Hang art in unusual places.
Hanging art on a wall, is not unusual, I realize, but hanging art lower, or even sometimes higher than eye level creates visual interest and moves the eyes across the entire space. Who said we always need to hang art at eye level anyways?
I love how the team over at Woodson & Rummerfield covered a portion of this wall from floor to ceiling with a variety of framed art. They even set some on the floor! Not only does this create a taller ceiling effect, but it also draws the eye down to the floor. It’s a kind of “pathway” for your eyes, visually directing the space.
So head to the thrift store, your attic or gather pieces of art from around your home and re-create this look yourself!
i LOVE the look of an entire wall covered in frames/art … but i'm also someone who likes EVERYTHING "decorated" ..

I love this because it's so unexpected–the best design does that!
Love the look of the art lower on this wall. It works for this wall. I don't know it would work on just any wall in any room.:)
So I put a big framed piece on the ground against a floor to ceiling window, actually – just temporarily – but then realized that i liked it there a lot! it stayed ๐
So true…I love that…I have to pieces standing on the floor:)
I adore stuff like that:)
Kisses, sweetie and have a wonderful Monday
two…not to hahaha
Oh I can even see some frames on the floor. Now that's an unusual place ๐
Love the look. It's like studied chaos. Very tricky to get right, but when you do — what a payoff!
