Wednesday Weekend Warm Up (Helena Style)

Being here is such a great honour, Jami was one of my very first readers, and I’ll never be able to thank her enough! So being here talking about summer plans and yummy cocktails is a big pleasure! I used to love summers, couldn’t wait for some hot weather, strappy sandals, and pretty bikini and off to the beach! I still love summers but don’t feel them as much here in London (even though the weather has been amazing these last 2-3 days, so I can’t complain!) How do I like to spend my summer? In Greece! I have never missed a Greek summer (literally) so it’s a big tradition for me. I usually go to my Grandma’s home in a mountain village and then spend some time on an island, lately Corfu, as my boyfriend is from there. So it’s a good combination of mountains and beach. 

But my favourite cocktail has no relation with Greece! I’m not big on alcohol, or cocktails for that matter, I love mojitos well done, and vanilla Mai Tais BUT my favourite is without a doubt the classic English Pimm’s. When spring comes, Pimm’s comes out too, in the big glass jars, with all the fresh fruits and veggies, yummy! so refreshing and fruity, and doesn’t taste like alcohol at all, which might be dangerous! It’s fresh and so summery with strawberries, mint and cucumber, a must try really! and I love how it comes in jugs and everybody can share it!
